The Conscious Breath Experience

The Conscious Breath Experience
Breathe consciously in and out. Make the focus of your concentration the place where the breath originates from and where it disappears to. That place is the place of the self. Breathe into and out of the place of the self. In this breathing into and out of the place of the self there is the experience of bliss. That bliss is the culmination of your search in life. Bliss is all you ever need to be totally satisfied in life.

Listen carefully:

The Self is all that matters. The happiness we experience in the Self is the highest happiness possible. All other forms of happiness are but mere shadows of this happiness. True bliss is only possible in the Self. You must relinquish all attachments to other forms of happiness. That is the only way toward liberation in this life. Human life is not easy to attain.

Remain in your center

Do not get involved in other people’s lives to the extent that you lose your clarity. When life puts you into a position where you can’t avoid getting involved, then you must get involved. Do not shirk your responsibilities. Act to the best of your abilities.

The right direction

The Guru points in the right direction. He/she points towards the inner self. This self is full of bliss. The course towards this self leads through the mind and the emotions. Many obstacles reside in the mind and the emotions. Kundalini Shakti moves through the mind and the emotions and dissolves these obstacles.

The Inner Path

Kundalini Shakti resides in the breath. Draw the breath up, like a bucket of water from a well. Draw it higher and higher until it dissolves in pure inner bliss. The sound of breath alone is bliss. The still place between the in-and outbreath is a place of complete respite, complete relaxation, complete comfort, and refreshing stillness.

Speak as you think and act as you speak.

The truth must be found. What is this truth? The truth is about you, what you are, who you are, why you are here, etc. You must find an answer to this in your lifetime. What else do you have to do? Inquire into the nature of existence and find a philosophy that works for you. How do you know it works for you? Because you feel happy, satisfied and at peace with the world.

The goal is the blissful self

Be happy. Be at peace. Focus on what you are doing. Don’t allow your concentration to waver. Being focused is like living in heaven. Being distracted is like living in hell.

Freedom and Liberation

What does it mean to worship in freedom? Then, what does it mean to be free? Is freedom an illusion? Is liberation an illusion?
As long as freedom and liberation remain concepts in your head, they remain illusions, wholly unattainable, as far removed from you as the most distant star in the universe.

Kundalini and Liberation

Kundalini is the liberating force. Kundalini lives within you. It is the creative spark. On the spiritual path you blow this spark up until it is a raging fire within. This intense fire will bring all impurities to the surface of your being, in the same way as impurities surface when gold is heated.

Concentrate and Realize!

Spiritual liberation is the detachment from all that is not you. You live in freedom when there is true Vairagya, true renunciation of all. To practice this is difficult. It goes against everything you have ever believed in, ever hoped to attain, ever tried to hold on to.

Uncouple from the Outer Reflections

Rest in your inner beauty. Your inner beauty is consciousness and bliss. This beauty cannot be taken from you. It is your innermost essential nature. You are it. That is the self.
The path to the self is manifold. Eventually all paths lead within.

Be free and liberated

Inner serenity is reflected in your outer being. How is this possible? Your mind is the intermediary between the outer world and the inner world. Whatever arises from within is projected outward and what is experienced outwards is received within.

The Inner Sight

The inner sight, the inner vision must be cultivated. Only those with the true inner vision are truly cultivated people. Being clever is not being cultivated. Wearing nice clothes and giving fancy speeches is not being cultivated. Yukti, cleverness, is not the same as Mukti, liberation. Liberation is equal-sightedness. It is not blindness, but same-sightedness, seeing the same in all. Equal vision = the vision of equality. “All men are created equal.” All “men” are equal.

Look Within, Always

Look within, always look within. Find out who you are. When you look outside you see confusion, chaos, agitation, multiplicity, and tumult. Inside there are peace, serenity, love, contentment, and calm knowing. Calmness prevails in your center. Sit quietly. Rest within your own self.

Develop the Inner Sight

Develop the inner sight. Rest in your inner state. Remain always in this quiet state. Do not show off what you have attained. Be still. Be humble. Allow your inner state to permeate your outer surroundings. Do not force your inner state onto your surroundings. Let it happen naturally. Be watchful. Be present. Do a lot of listening. Be aware. Be loving. Be attentive. Always be present. Be perfect. Let others know that you care. Help people along their path.

Follow the Silence

Follow the silence. The silence will lead you to the goal. Immerse yourself in silence. Remain in silence. This is your true home. Remain in your inner circle of silence. That is where your true happiness lies. Outside this circle awaits restlessness and the agitated pull of the external world.

Meditation

Meditation is really the heart of all spiritual practices. In fact, it is the one essential practice. Deep meditation connects us with a part of ourselves that may be so still that we don’t notice it in daily life. In this stillness there is the power of the moment. This power can help us successfully navigate the challenges of our daily activities.

Enthusiasm

There must be enthusiasm in our endeavors, or nothing will get accomplished.
Enthusiasm drives all our actions. To be exact: this is a youthful enthusiasm.
To be excited about what we are involved with ensures that we remain on the path. This is true in all endeavors, including the spiritual ones.

Attention

What grabs your attention
What draws your interest
That is where your focus lies
That is where your concentration rests

To be Noticed

We want to be noticed
We want to be understood
We want to be known
We want to be special
We don’t want to be lost in history

The Still Point

The still point is in the head
All is in the head
Liberation is in the head
Bondage is in the head
The strive is always upwards
One-pointed concentration is in the head

Here - Over There

Here
That is this moment
This moment is here
Now and forever
Nothing but fullness
Full of nothingness

Pointless Space

Pointless space
Spaceless point
All refers to you only
You are the kernel of truth
You are the liberating window

The End

The end
Full stop
Halt
Peace
Serenity
Stillness
Awareness
Being
Bliss
Eternity

One-pointed concentration

One-pointed concentration
Leave the ego behind
The path is narrow
The gate barely noticeable

Travel the path
Open the gate
See the beauty beyond
It’s not some other beauty
It’s your own beauty you’ll find

Kundalini must rise

The direction is always upwards. Kundalini must rise to the top. In the head is where the bliss lies. Kundalini-Ananda; Kundalini-Bliss. The bliss of Kundalini. Pull up the breath consciously to the top of the head. Keep the breath there. Enjoy the stillness. Enjoy the bliss.

Attention

The attention always must be upwards. Upwards is the highest. The highest is in the head. Awareness is in the head. Attention is in the head. The breath, drawn upwards, merges in the highest point in the head. That is where fulfillment lies. That is where bliss is found. Here is the still space of existence.

This Moment

This moment is here, whether I like it or not. What the moment brings is determined by my previous choices. It was determined by the path I forged into the future. The future is like reaching up and plucking an apple from a tree. Once it is plucked, I am stuck with it. Every action has consequences. Now I have to decide what to do with it.

Discrimination

A lot of significance is placed on the value of Discrimination on the spiritual path according to the Vedas. It is written that the Individual Self can merge with the Universal Self solely through the power of Discrimination. This is true.
Discrimination makes you realize that you are interconnected with all life, that you do not live in isolation, even if you tried. As it is said “no person is an island.”

Disappointments

Disappointments are the best and the worst gifts of life. They are manifestations of life’s grace in its fullest potential. I may not want to feel disappointments, but who am I to decide what path life has in store for me?

Kundalini Shakti and the Spiritual Path

Kundalini Shakti, the creative force of the universe, wants to express itself freely. In order to do that, it needs to remove obstacles from its path. In humans, these obstacles exist mostly in the thinking and feeling mind. These obstacles are blockages caused by insults, attachments, unfilled desires, daydreams, unrealized ambitions, entrenched beliefs, and so on.

Always Upwards, Towards the Highest

Survival skills can be stretched and developed until success is gained; not merely survival, but success with your given abilities/gifts. The question always is: "What is behind?"
"What is behind what I see, hear, smell, feel, touch, and taste?" There is always another "behind" - another "beyond" - to discover. The surface, the materially experienceable, is just a front for your inner experience of love and compassion.

Spiritual Practice

The underlying principle of Spiritual Practice is the belief that all people can attain spiritual liberation, spiritual enlightenment in their lifetimes. You do not have to wait for your physical death to experience the bliss of the “kingdom of heaven.” You can experience it while you are still in your body.

Selfless Actions

We exist because there are certain karmas we need to work out. Karmas are energies that are concentrated around one point: an individual personality. We need to let go of these energies so that we are free from them. And then, we need to make certain that no more karma accumulates around us.

The need for inner Stillness

I used the word stillness to describe this mental state and not the word silence. Silence to me is just the absence of sounds, while stillness can be experienced despite of the presence of sounds. I have experienced stillness in peaceful summer meadows as well as in noisy clubs.
