Freedom

Freedom

We all want to experience freedom, the absence of restrictions. To experience restrictions can be highly frustrating. Restrictions tie up our energies and we feel hindered in our endeavors. We cannot express ourselves as fully as we would like to.

However, unlimited freedom is also not good, because we are then not forced to put up our energies against the other energies we encounter in daily life. For example, we may feel that we are the greatest athlete that ever existed, without verifying this fact by competing against other athletes in our chosen field. In a sense, we would be deluding ourselves with fantasies of grandeur.
In life we must find a middle ground between freedom and restrictions. Too much of either is not beneficial to us and our innate abilities. But, we must have the freedom to express ourselves as fully as possible. The only obstacles that we encounter along the way should be challenges that assist us in furthering our talents for our own good, as well as the good of the entire world.
